A woman looking hopefully toward a new beginning

Admissions

Your First Step
Starts Here

We have made the admissions process as simple and welcoming as possible — because asking for help is already the hardest part.

How It Works

Four Simple Steps to Join

01

Reach Out

Call or email us to start the conversation. We will answer your questions, learn a little about your situation, and help you understand if Vital Village is the right fit.

02

Complete the Application

We will send you a short intake application. This helps us understand your recovery history, current needs, and goals so we can prepare for your arrival.

03

Interview & Assessment

We schedule a brief phone or in-person interview to get to know you better. This is a two-way conversation — we want you to feel confident about your decision too.

04

Move In

Once accepted, we will confirm your move-in date, go over the house agreement, and welcome you into the Vital Village community. Your new chapter begins here.

FAQ

Common Questions

Do I need to have completed a treatment program first?

Not necessarily. While many of our residents come to us directly from inpatient or outpatient treatment, we also accept women who are self-motivated and committed to sobriety. We evaluate each applicant individually.

What is the cost?

We charge a weekly or monthly rent that covers your room, utilities, and shared household expenses. Please contact us directly for current rates — we are committed to keeping our home accessible.

Can my family visit?

Yes. Family visits are encouraged and can be a powerful part of the recovery process. All visitors must be approved in advance and are welcome during designated visiting hours.

What do I need to bring?

We will provide a full move-in checklist once you are accepted. In general, bring personal clothing, toiletries, bedding, and any prescribed medications. We will take care of the rest.

How long can I stay?

We require a minimum 90-day commitment. Many residents choose to stay 6–12 months or longer. Length of stay is determined collaboratively based on your individual recovery goals and progress.

Is there staff on site?

Yes. Our house manager is available and on call. We maintain a structured, supervised environment while also respecting the independence and autonomy of our residents.
