Our Story
Vital Village Recovery was founded on a simple belief: every woman deserves a safe place to heal, grow, and find her way back to herself.
Who We Are
Vital Village Recovery was born from lived experience and a deep conviction that women in recovery deserve more than a roof over their heads. They deserve a community — a village — that holds them accountable, celebrates their wins, and walks alongside them through the hard days.
Located in Knoxville, Tennessee, our home provides a structured, substance-free environment where women stepping down from treatment — or simply ready to start fresh — can build the foundation for lasting sobriety.
We are not a treatment center. We are a home. And like any good home, ours is built on trust, consistency, and the kind of relationships that change lives.

Our Mission
"To provide women in recovery with a safe, structured, and community-driven home — where healing is possible, growth is expected, and no one walks the path alone."
What We Stand For
Every woman who walks through our door is met with dignity and respect. We believe in meeting people exactly where they are — no shame, no stigma, just support.
A substance-free, structured environment is non-negotiable. We maintain clear boundaries and house guidelines so every resident can focus on what matters most: her recovery.
Isolation fuels addiction. Connection fuels recovery. We foster genuine relationships between residents — because the women around you can become your greatest source of strength.
Recovery is not a straight line. We celebrate progress, not perfection — and we believe every woman has the capacity to build a life she is proud of, one day at a time.
Community Philosophy
At Vital Village, we believe the community itself is one of the most powerful tools in recovery. The women you live alongside — who share meals, hold you accountable, and celebrate your milestones — become your village.
Our philosophy is simple: structure creates safety, and safety creates the space for real growth. We pair clear expectations with genuine warmth, because accountability and compassion are not opposites — they work together.
Whether you're 30 days sober or 3 years in, there is a place for you here. Recovery is not a destination — it's a way of living, and we're here to help you live it well.
